Universidad de Lleida

The University of Lleida (UdL) combines a long and fruitful university tradition with a young and dynamic structure that is firmly committed to quality training and research, to advanced teaching methods and to internationalization. Currently, the UdL is the fourth university in Spain in teaching, the fifth in performance and the seventh in research according to the U-Ranking 2019. Distinguished with the Campus of International Excellence by the Iberus project, which it shares with the universities of Zaragoza, La Rioja and Pública de Navarra, its mission is to generate, disseminate and apply knowledge.

Due to the link with its territorial productive environment, the UdL enjoys a relevant position in terms of agronomic and forestry studies, but also in studies in other areas of knowledge. This allows us to offer training activities aimed at undergraduates, postgraduates and professionals who want to acquire, improve or retrain their training in the five branches of knowledge: arts and humanities, sciences, health sciences, social and legal sciences, and engineering and architecture.

The UdL is characterized by an innovative training offer focused on achieving the objectives of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). A close training and a university of human dimensions allow the students to be one of the main protagonists, with an extensive program of scholarships and own aids that the UdL destines to its students. The degrees of the UdL, guaranteed by the quality of the Catalan university system, allow to acquire an advanced training of specialized and / or multidisciplinary character based on quality contents elaborated by experts in the subjects and permanently updated.

The UdL contributes to the dissemination, quality and diversification of the cultural offer in the territory, with the generation of activities with a high value, some of them aimed especially at students.

It also highlights the existence of research groups from different fields with international recognition. The UdL Research Ring aims to promote the visibility of research and the transfer of knowledge that is being carried out by the teaching and research staff of the University of Lleida, as well as to improve the mechanisms to support the development of research activity. The Ring brings together the different research institutes of the UdL and the Lleida Agri-food Science and Technology Park (PCiTAL), a key part in the structuring of Lleida’s agri-food capital in the Euroregion.
